Terms of Service

Last updated: June 11, 2026

Welcome to Roam ("Roam," "we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Roam website and trip-planning service (the "Service"). By creating an account, subscribing, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Roam helps you plan trips by generating itineraries, suggestions, local briefings, and related travel information using third-party data sources and artificial intelligence. The Service is provided for personal, informational, and planning purposes only.

The Service is intended for users located in the United States and is not directed to individuals in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom. If you access it from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local laws.

2. AI-generated content & accuracy

Much of what Roam produces (itineraries, costs, opening hours, visa and entry guidance, currency information, phrases, and local tips) is generated automatically and/or drawn from third-party sources. It may be incomplete, out of date, or incorrect. It is not professional, legal, financial, or travel advice. You are responsible for independently confirming entry requirements, prices, opening hours, safety conditions, and any other critical details before you travel or make bookings.

3. Eligibility & accounts

4. Membership, billing & auto-renewal

5. Free tier & advertising

The free "Roam Now" experience is supported by advertising. By using the free tier you understand that ads may be displayed. Subscribing removes ads. Some advertising and analytics may involve cookies or similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy Accessibility Do Not Sell or Share My Info.

The free tier is limited: it generates a single planned day per trip (without travel dates, hotel, or multi-day itineraries) and is capped at a small number of plans per day. These limits may change at any time.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: violating any law; infringing others' rights; attempting to access accounts or data that aren't yours; scraping, reverse-engineering, or overloading the Service; reselling the Service; or using it to create harmful, infringing, or deceptive content. We may investigate and take appropriate action, including suspension or termination.

Usage limits & fair use. To keep the Service available and affordable, we apply reasonable usage limits. These include a daily cap on how many trips free users can generate, and fair-use limits on paid memberships to prevent abuse, automated or bulk use, or use that places an excessive load or cost on the Service. We may rate-limit, throttle, suspend, or change these limits at any time. Paid memberships are for an individual's own personal trip planning and may not be shared, resold, or used to provide trip-planning as a service to others.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, software, text, and branding, is owned by Roam and protected by applicable laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your personal trip planning. Itineraries you create are yours to use for your own travel.

8. Sharing & community content

9. Third-party services

Roam relies on third parties including, among others, Stripe (payments), mapping and places providers, image providers, event-data sources, our email provider, and a bot-detection and security provider. Your use of those features may also be subject to the third parties' terms, and we are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or availability.

10. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any information it provides is accurate, current, or complete.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Roam and its operators, owners, and suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or for any loss arising from your reliance on information from the Service or from travel decisions you make. Our total aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or twenty U.S. dollars ($20).

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Roam and its operators from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or any law or third-party right.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (including ownership, the content license, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and dispute resolution) will survive.

14. Governing law & dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Before filing a claim, you agree to first try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us at [email protected]; we'll try to resolve it within 60 days.

If we can't resolve it, you agree that any dispute will be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered under the rules of a recognized arbitration provider, seated in Texas, rather than in court, except that either party may bring a claim in small-claims court. To the extent permitted by law, you and Roam waive any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class action or class-wide arbitration. If arbitration is found unenforceable, the dispute will be heard exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

16. Miscellaneous

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Roam regarding the Service. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You consent to receive communications from us electronically.
